# Windows Uninstall

### Deactivate License

Please ensure you [deactivate ](https://igrey-post.gitbook.io/igrey-post/activating-deactivating#deactivation)any active licenses before uninstalling ReMark X.

### Uninstallation Process

Open the Windows Start menu, type **Add or remove programs**, and click on the result to open.

In the list of installed programs, locate ReMark X application. Click on the three-dot menu next to it and select **Uninstall**.

Follow the prompts in the uninstaller. You may be asked to confirm that you want to remove ReMark X and all of its components.

If you are using the full version of ReMark X, you will be prompted to ensure you have deactivated your license before proceeding.

After the uninstallation process is complete, ReMark X and all its associated files will have been removed from your system.
