Welcome to the GUI Overview for FX Marker Pro! This page will guide you through the various sections and features of the app, helping you make the most out of its functionalities.
The Load File button allows you to quickly and easily import the CSV Sequence Report from Avid Media Composer into FX Marker Pro. Simply click this button, navigate to the location of your CSV file, select it, and it will be loaded into the application for you.
The Console Area displays the list of effects from the CSV Sequence Report and will dynamically update as you filter your effects. Each effect includes a checkbox, allowing you to select or deselect your chosen effects easily. This feature helps you manage and customize the effects you want to work with efficiently.
The Filter allows you to type in the name of the effect you want to isolate. As you type, the Console Area will dynamically update to show only the effects that match your search criteria. This makes it easy to find and focus on specific effects within your list.
The Selection Options provide several ways to manage the checkboxes in the Console Area:
Select All: Checks every checkbox, selecting all effects.
Third Party Plugins: Checks only the effects that are not native to Avid Media Composer.
Reverse Selection: Reverses the current selection, unchecking all checked boxes and checking all unchecked boxes.
Unselect All: Unselects all checked checkboxes, clearing the selection.
The Export Options manage the output of the Avid Markers TXT file. Here’s how each option works:
All Instances: Generates a marker for each time a checked effect appears in the edit.
First Instance Only: Generates a marker only for the first time a checked effect appears in the edit.
Marker Color: Selects the color of the markers in Avid Media Composer.
Video Track: Selects the video track where the markers will be placed in Avid Media Composer. The "FX Track" option will use the same video track as the effect.
Audio Track: Selects the audio track where the markers will be placed in Avid Media Composer. The "FX Track" option will use the same audio track as the effect.
The Export Markers button generates an Avid Markers TXT file. This file is created in the same location as the imported CSV Sequence Report and can be imported into Avid Media Composer. The markers in the file will reflect the selected effects and the options you’ve configured.
Selecting the Help option will open the FX Marker Pro support page in your web browser, providing access to documentation and additional resources. If you do not have an internet connection, the Help feature will display the support page address and offer alternative methods for receiving assistance, such as contact information for support via email.
The Info option provides details about the application, including the version number and copyright information. This section helps you verify the current version of FX Marker Pro and review the legal rights associated with its use.
The Reset option will clear the Console area and any filter text, allowing you to start fresh with your current data.
The Exit option will close the application. Make sure to save any unsaved work before exiting to prevent data loss.
