# Errors

When using ReMark X, you may encounter the following error messages. If you encounter an error message not listed please contact [support](/igrey-post/welcome.md).

### Process Errors

<summary><strong>DaVinci Resolve is not currently running.</strong></summary>

**Error Explanation:**&#x20;

This error occurs when the application attempts to interact with DaVinci Resolve, but Resolve is not currently running on your computer.

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Open DaVinci Resolve to resolve.&#x20;

<summary><strong>DaVinci Resolve is currently loading.</strong></summary>

**Error Explanation:**&#x20;

This error occurs when the application detects that DaVinci Resolve is in the process of loading but has not fully launched yet.

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Waiting DaVinci Resolve to finish loading and has reach the project manager window.&#x20;

<summary><strong>No project is currently open, or the open project is unsaved.</strong></summary>

**Error Explanation:**&#x20;

This error occurs when the application requires a project to be open in DaVinci Resolve, but either no project is currently open, or the open project has unsaved changes.

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Error Solution: Open the project you want to use with ReMark X.&#x20;

<summary><strong>No timeline is currently open.</strong></summary>

**Error Explanation:**&#x20;

This error occurs when the script requires a timeline to be open in the active project in DaVinci Resolve, but no timeline is currently open.

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Open the timelineyou want to use with ReMark X.&#x20;

<summary><strong>Destination Not Selected: No destination selected. Please select a destination.</strong></summary>

**Error Explanation:**&#x20;

This error occurs when the application requires a destination to be specified for an the exports, but no destination has been selected or provided by the user.

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Provide a destination for the exported files to save.&#x20;

### Licensing Errors

<summary><strong>Invalid License Key: ReMark X will launch in lite mode. Please reactivate with a valid license key to unlock all features.</strong></summary>

**Error Explanation:**&#x20;

This error occurs when the current license file  is determined to be invalid or incorrect.&#x20;

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Either reactivate with a valid license or contact [support](mailto:support@igrey.co.uk).&#x20;

<summary><strong>Error: License Key and License Email are required.</strong></summary>

This error occurs when either the License Key provided upon purchase, the associated Email address, or both, have not been provided for license activation in ReMark X.

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Ensure that both the License Key and Email address are entered accurately.

<summary><strong>Activation Failed: Invalid license key.</strong></summary>

This error occurs when the license key used for activation is invalid. Please use a valid license key when attempting to activate ReMark X.&#x20;

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Ensure that both the License Key is entered accurately, if it continues to not error please contact [support](mailto:support@igrey.co.uk).&#x20;

<summary><strong>Activation Failed: Invalid Email address.</strong></summary>

This error arises when the email address provided during activation is invalid.

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Use the email address associated with the purchase of the license.

<summary><strong>Activation Failed: Activation limit has been reached for this license key.</strong></summary>

This error occurs when the maximum number of activations allowed for the license key has been reached.

**Error Solution:**&#x20;

Deactivate any other instances of ReMark X or contact [support](mailto:support@igrey.co.uk)for assistance.&#x20;
